Technological sophistication is vital for our society. That need is met at Shalom Torah through our Computer Lab program. Students progress through an understanding of the parts and applications of computers in school and daily life, to hands-on experience with current software, keyboarding skills and desktop publishing. Students learn to use essential programs useful in all work and home environments, for programs, and art/media programs. Students learn to access the Internet appropriately through instruction in its use and guided exploration of research topics related to classroom studies. There are computers in all classrooms, which serve as work centers as well as instructional adjuncts in all subjects. Skills learned in the media center are generalized in the classroom, and classroom content areas are explored and enriched through the media center.
